Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run our classes and portal. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Effective November 5, 2026

Information we collect

When you contact us or book a free class: your first and last name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the program you are interested in, your time zone and any message you write.

When you have an account: your name, email address, the courses and cohort you are enrolled in, and your password. We never store your password itself, only a secure one-way hash of it.

When you study: your learning records, such as which notes you completed, quiz answers and scores, lab results, and the commands you typed in a lab you submit. Lab submissions, including the command history, are shared with your teacher for review.

Payments: when you pay, our staff record the amount, date, method and a reference number. We do not collect or store your card or bank account numbers on our website.

Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange your free first class
  • To enroll you, create your account and give you access to the portal
  • To deliver classes, track your progress, and let teachers review your work and give feedback
  • To send you service emails, such as invitations, password resets, lab feedback, class schedules and announcements from your teacher
  • To record payments and keep business records
  • To keep the website and portal secure and to fix problems

If you agree to receive news about new courses, you can unsubscribe at any time. Service emails about your enrollment are part of the course and are not marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:

  • Your teachers and our staff, who need it to teach and support you
  • Service providers that run parts of our service for us, such as website hosting and database (Cloudflare) and email delivery (Resend). They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Your employer or sponsor, if they pay for your training and you agreed that they can receive your attendance or progress
  • Authorities, when the law requires it

Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in to the portal. Our website remembers your light or dark theme choice, and the lab simulator saves your work in your browser so you can continue later. We do not use advertising cookies. If we use website analytics, we use a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies to track you.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries from the contact form: up to 24 months, unless you enroll
  • Accounts and learning records: while you are enrolled and for up to 3 years after your course ends, so we can confirm your training if you need it
  • Payment records: as long as US tax and accounting rules require

Portal access to a course ends 30 days after the last class, but your records are kept as described above unless you ask us to delete them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@netwisers.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep some records where the law requires it, such as payment records.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still make any request by email. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights. Residents of other states with privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, may make the same requests.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, one-time links for setting passwords and access controls that limit what each role can see. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you suspect a problem.

Children

Our courses are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Students under 18 may enroll only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If we make significant changes, we will let enrolled students know.
